Season Info Meetings

The info meetings are intended to provide the information you need to determine if you would like to join the Fox Valley/Batavia Robotics organization for the season.

Who should attend?
A family with a 1st - 12th grader as of this September
One or two parents and their interested children should attend
In the meantime, you can use the tab "Divisions" drop down to read about the appropriate level of robotics.

Schedule for 1st - 8th grades
August 9 Saturday at 3 pm
August 10 Sunday at 1 pm
Choose only one meeting because the content is the same. Plan on staying one hour.

After a brief overview of the organization and divisions, the following groups separate for specific presentations:
+ LegoWolves for 1st-3rd graders
+ LegoDogs for 4th-8th graders

Schedule for 8th - 12th grades
August 24 Sunday at 1 pm
There is a brief overview of the organization followed by the VEX robotics program for Coyotes division of 8th-12th graders. Plan on staying an hour or more as we attempt to answer all newcomer questions.

Location
Rotolo Middle School
1501 S Raddant Road, Batavia, IL 60510
Parking: Large north lot adjacent to the school.

Room: West Gym
Entrance: Use doors N11 and walk down the corridor (about 100 feet).
Handicapped or disabled: drive down the access road adjacent to the west side of the school. Parking is around the back. Use door S1.
There will be signs to guide you to the West Gym.

If you can't make the meeting dates or are reading this page after they are over:
+ Use tab Divisions to learn about the relevant programs for your child's grade
+ Registration is open for all divisions in August. The Home page will show registration status for each division.
+ Use tab Contact Us for questions. Be sure to let us know the grade of your student.

Why do I have to bring my child with me?
Robotics is fun and exciting and we want to make sure that you and your child hear the same information.

I have more than one child interested in robotics and they are in different divisions. Which division meeting should I attend?
+ If two parents of 1st-8th graders can come, you can each go to a different breakout session.
+ If one parent of 1st-8th graders is attending, join the LegoDogs (4th - 8th grade) breakout meeting. After it ends, talk to a presenter for LegoWolves (1st-3rd grade) details
+ If you have both a 1st-8th grader and an older sibling, come both weekends! The presentations will be very informative and different.
